Edgewood Chamber Orchestra
The Edgewood Chamber Orchestra consists of Edgewood students and outstanding
Madison-area community members. New members must audition. The orchestra
performs a variety of works suitable for chamber orchestra. Edgewood
students are also invited to participate in the
Madison Community
Orchestra, a
full-sized orchestra.

Chamber Singers
The Chamber Singers is Edgewood's vocal ensemble geared
toward the development of the undergraduate student. The choir performs
literature from the Renaissance to the 20th Century and enjoys numerous
performing opportunities each year including an annual spring tour. The
2003-2004 season included a trip to New York and a performance at Carnegie
Hall. An audition is required for membership.

Madrigal Singers
Madrigal Singers is open to Edgewood students and
outstanding community members. Repertoire includes the study of literature
appropriate to the smaller choral ensemble. New members must audition. The
group rehearses Tuesday evenings from 7:00-9:00.

Campus-Community Band
The Edgewood College Campus-Community Band provides
Edgewood students and Madison-area community musicians with the opportunity
to perform outstanding wind literature. The band has performed a variety of
works, ranging from classic British band literature of the early 20th
century to transcriptions, and also including marches and modern
compositions. The group charges no admission for concerts, but often
collects a free-will offering for Luke House, a local community meal
program. The group rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 PM.

The Edgewood College Wind Ensemble provides students with the opportunity to play as individuals, with
one ensemble member assigned per part. Rehearsals are Monday evenings from
6:00-8:00 PM.

Women's Choir
The Edgewood College Women's Choir provides the opportunity for women at
Edgewood College to sing a wide variety of traditional and modern literature
arranged for women's voices. An informal voice placement audition is
required. Rehearsals are at noon on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Edgewood College Jazz Ensemble
The Edgewood College Jazz Ensemble is a campus-community
group, consisting of Edgewood College students and community members, some
of whom are students at UW-Madison. The jazz ensemble performs a wide
variety of jazz literature, ranging from big band "classics" to modern
works. This group performs at numerous yearly events, ranging from on-campus
receptions and concerts to off-campus dances. Recent appearances have
included an outdoor festival performance on Madison's arts-oriented Monroe
Street and a June 2004 Lake Wingra festival performance. The group
rehearses on Thursday evenings from 6:00-8:00 PM.
