Lauren Welch

Lauren Welch

Music Business Major

Lauren Welch has been an active member of both the Theatre and Music departments at Edgewood, with roles in The Improv Show, Brigadoon, and Comedy of Errors, as well as community theatre. She has had key leadership roles in Chamber Singers and is currently the soprano section leader. Lauren has performed at commencement and as soloist with the Edgewood Chamber Orchestra.

Lauren has received the Sister Edward Blackwell Endowed Scholarship, the DeEtte Beilfuss-Eager Endowed Scholarship, and the Vernon and Anja Sell Choral Endowed Scholarship.

A graduate of Milton High School, Lauren hopes to pursue a singing career. She performed her senior recital on November 19, 2011.

Ilana

Ilana Bar-Av

Music Business Major

Ilana Bar-Av is a music business major from Madison, Wisconsin. Along with majoring in guitar and performing with the Guitar Ensemble, she is the current president of Chamber Singers and also performs with the Campus-Community Choir and Jazz Ensemble. Ilana did her internship at Mid-West Family Broadcasting’s Q106 radio station, where she worked in promotions. She is currently employed at Q106 managing the website and social media, and other promotional activities.

In addition to her musical activities, Ilana played for the Edgewood College women’s Soccer Team from 2007-2009 and was named a Northern Athletics Conference Scholar Athlete all three years.

Ilana is the recipient of several prestigious scholarships at Edgewood, including the Harry L. French Scholarship from the Madison Rotary Foundation, the Blake Family Scholarship, the Vernon & Anja Sell Choral Endowed Scholarship, and the Mary Mickle Battcock Memorial Scholarship.
